The village of Bojná is known for being an important princely center of the old Slavs in the past. The former economic and political center of the Pribinian Principality of Nitra currently offers the opportunity to travel to these ancient times through an attractive exhibition of the Archaeological Museum of Great Moravia, administered by the Archaeological Institute of Slovak Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the municipality.
Archaeological Museum in Bojná is one of the youngest in Slovakia. It is located in a building in the center of Bojná. Through preserved archaeological objects, the museum presents visitors to the life in the historic Slavic state.
Many of the exhibited artifacts are among the archaeological and historical unique of European significance. The oldest Christian bellin our territory or the* gilded plaques* from the Principality of Nitra deserve special attention.
