Description
In the area of the magical fairy-tale castle os Červený Kameň is the Falconry Yard called "Astur", where during the season flight demonstrations of predators are presented. It is the largest predator in Slovakia.
In the peak season, you can live watch every day except for Monday: golden eagles, steppe eagles, snowy owls, mousebirds, gerfalcons, black falcons, stannels, and other predators. Flight demonstrations last 30 - 40 minutes.
Visitors can take a picture with the predator on the glove and for sure, the smallest hikers will take their feet to the children's corner where they can play and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this wonderful place full of man's love for nature.
During the summer months, the ASTUR falcon yard organizes an educational falconry camp for children aged 7 to 15 years. At the same time, every Friday, in case of good weather, you can be part of the falconry and ornithology circle.
