Bencovje grunt belonged to the family of Štefan Benca, as indicated by entries in the registry books from the time of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Today, the house is one of the very last traditional buildings with the original unique medieval tuff cellar preserved in the streets of Bojnice. Its history is longer than 400 years, it is built on the oldest street of the city.
