The ruins of Branč Castle are situated on the hill of Myjava Uplands above Podzámok - the local part of municipality of Podbranč. The castle is divided into two main parts: the lower castle, the middle castle. The middle castle is separated from the lower castle by a deep moat, which increased the natural height of the middle castle fortifications.
After building a mansion in another location, the owners left the castle, thus it remained abandoned. It was then easily seized and burned by the Turks, and the castle remained in such condition until today.
In the season from April to October, the entrance to the castle is charged by symbolic admission for the purpose of restoring the castle.
Access: you can get here by car and leave the vehicle on a parking lot below the castle, from there, it is about 100 m to the castle on foot, or you can get here all the way on foot from the village of Podbranč (local part Podzámok) which takes just about 5 minutes. There are marked hiking and cycling trails around the castle.
