The village of Budiná and its surrounding forests are a place that is extremely rich in natural beauty and creations. It is also due to its volcanic origin and the gradual weathering of the lava flow.
However, this small-scale protected area is not only interesting by its massive andesite lava remnants, but also by the 5-meter-long cave formation called Jánošík's Room. Tourists are often enchanted by plenty of very interesting rock blocks or stone seas.
In good weather, it is possible to see the hills of Ostrôžka and Poľana from the top part. Wonderful wild meadows attract your attention in the wider area.
The hike to Budiná Rock is unpretentious, so we recommend it as a great walk for all ages. The easiest one is accessible from the village of Budiná, specifically from the part of Budiná scattered settlement which is about 1.5 km far. There are also marked cycling routes in this place.
