Not far from the town of Krupina, there is the nature reserve of Mäsiarsky bok. In this locality, the roughness of the rock formations and the rocks falls weds with the subtlety and picturesque nature of the river flow and the surrounding forests, which are more or less in their original and untouched condition.
The nature reserve is a great tip for nature lovers of all ages. It is a place ideal for relaxing and resting in a quiet natural environment. You can enjoy not only admirable natural creations, but also the variety of fauna and flora.
Hike is undemanding and you can take it in any season. Refreshing in the waters of the Krupinica River is convenient during hot summer days. The river is dotted with larger and smaller andesite rocks.
The reservation can be reached by the green tourist trail from Krupina (approx. 6 km). The route can be also passed on the bike. You can also start from Babiná (about 3.5 km). The journey is considerably shorter from there and you can do it in about half an hour.
