Bystrá Hill is due to its beauty, diversity, but also the altitude considered the Queen of West Tatras. This spectacular two-thousander rises above the Račková, Bystrá and Kamenistá valleys. Not only a mountaineer will appreciate that you can plan a nice circular route here, connecting crossing the top of this hill with crossing two valleys - Bystra and Račková.
The rocky peak with grassy lands provides a beautiful circular view of the surrounding hills, not only the Slovak but also the Polish side. Slopes of Bystrá are home to rare alpine animals, so you can even observe chamois or marmots in addition to captivating views.
Bystrá Hill is open to tourists from both Slovak and Polish West Tatras. The starting point of the tour can be Podbanské via Kamenistá Valley along the blue trail (approx. 7 km), as well as the yellow trail through Bystrá Valley, or crossing the Račkova Valley along the blue and yellow trail.
