Description

In the beautiful forests of the village of Plavecký Mikuláš, hidden from the eyes of tourists, there is quite interesting natural creation - Deravá skala rock (ie Holey rock). The cave is shrouded in lush vegetation on the modified bank of the Mokrá Valley (ie Wet Valley). You need to be really attentive, otherwise you may miss it.

Cave Deravá rock is about 40 meters long and has no stalactic decoration. It is mainly known for cave bear bones. It also represents a pleasant tourist stop when climbing the Čierna skala hill or within the circuit through Kršlenica.

There is another cave, "Tmavá skala" (ie Dark rock), which is not accessible to the public. Access to the caves is very easy. The route starts in Plavecký Mikuláš following the green trail. In the upper end of the village, the trail connects to the nature trail running through the Mokrá Valley.

The cave itself is the fastest accessible after approximately 2 km long marked hiking trail from the village of Plavecký Mikuláš.
