The Tihányi manor house in Radvaň was originally a ground floor Renaissance building dating from the first half of the 17th century. Later, this historic building took on a classicist form and only further modifications from the 19th century resulted in today's neo-Renaissance appearance.
Since 1989, the natural history department of the Central Slovak Museum has been housed in the listed building of the Tihányi manor house in Radvaň. It offers visitors a rich and interesting permanent exhibition Nature of Central Slovakia, which is thematically divided into 8 exhibition rooms, each of which provides a picture of nature 8 units of the former Central Slovak region.
The exposition is conceived on a wide range of environmental problems, from the presentation of species diversity, through the characteristics of protected areas, to the demonstration of the sources of devastation of the natural environment.
The exhibition also includes an audiovisual hall, in which films for pupils and students are projected, lectures, specialized seminars for teachers, slide shows and discussions on various issues related to nature conservation issues.
