The Devil's Valley is a beautiful and truly exceptional place, located near the village of Tisovec, in the Muránska Planina National Park. The site was declared a nature reserve in 1993. It features a distinctive karst relief and preserved forest communities.
Waterfalls, caves, ravines and rocky cliffs await you at every corner of the Devil's Valley. The same stream flows through the ravine, and its rocky riverbed includes an educational trail of Jakub Surovec the Brigand. According to legend, this valley was the place where he once escaped from the gendarmes.
Several hiking trails lead into this beautiful ravine. It's up to you which one you choose. However, the most famous is the one that leads from the Zbojská Saddle. The starting point for you can also be Bánovo near Tisovec, more precisely the gamekeeper's house below Diel. From there, just follow the mentioned educational trail.
