The overwhelming power of nature has conjured up a genuine natural jewel over the village of Turová. If you come here once, you will feel like you are in the Slovak Paradise. Interesting and deep gulleys, as well as a natural monument - Chimney flue of Turová - will welcome you in the local forests.
Chimney flue of Turová was declared a natural monument in 2001, as it is a significant landscaping element. This is the throat of the former volcano revealed by erosion, exposed during the final volcanic activity of the surrounding Kremnica Hills.
At the same time, the chimney flue creates ideal conditions for the presence of thermophilous plants and animals, which are also protected.
The village of Turová also made this natural monument more visible by means of an information board, as well as a description of chimney flue for elementary schools, secondary schools and also for kindergartens in the vicinity.
The road to the chimney flue is visibly marked. It is possible to climb there directly and from there observe the beautiful landscape scenery and the distinctive village of Turová.
