Description
Chorepa Saddle is a meadow saddle in Klenovské Hills, about 6 km from the town of Kokava nad Rimavicou. The saddle is a natural sight-seeing location with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and the Klenovec water reservoir.
There is also a marked hiking trail leading to the Slopovo lookout tower passing through the saddle. It is also interesting that the border between the Poltár and Rimavská Sobota districts leads through the saddle.
The main road from Kokava nad Rimavicou to Klenovec leads through the saddle and the bus stop is directly below the saddle. The Chorepa Saddle and its surroundings are also a popular cycling site, with quite a good tangle of bike paths.
In the saddle, there is also a memorial to two fighters killed in the Slovak National Uprising.
