The village of Vinné is a quiet location with lots of natural beauty and historical treasures. Just a short walk from the village, on the popular hiking trail below the Senderov Hill, there are ruins of the extinct church. The remains of this sacred building were supervised by archaeologists, who came up with the hypothesis that it could be the church of St. Cross built by the first hungarian monastic order of Saint Paul the First Hermit.
The locality has become more popular and attractive for tourists thanks to volunteers who helped to revive the remains of a medieval church. The above-ground brick parts were preserved and a large wooden cross was installed.
The ruins of the church under Senderovo have an excellent location, which provides beautiful views of the surrounding area with the dominating "Zemplin Sea". There are also information boards that will give visitors the history of the church.
You can reach the ruins of the church below Senderov, which is located on the outskirts of the village of Vinné, by an undemanding hiking trail, which you can pass on foot or on bike.
