Description
The Center of Culture and Fine Arts in Rimavská Sobota has been the Municipal Gallery since 1996 as an organizational unit of the Municipal Cultural Center. The gallery has a regional character and focuses on research and presentation of contemporary Central European visual art as well as fine art of the Gemer - Malohont region.
Exhibitions organized in the gallery are created in cooperation with other galleries, historians and theoreticians of fine arts. The exhibition activity is focused on current authorial and collective presentations of works of artists of all generations. The gallery also offers a wide space for emerging artists.
In addition to regular exhibitions, the gallery also organizes various events, lectures, creative workshops focused on the visual arts and artistic feeling. The events are designed for work with children and youth, or for the general public.
