In the beautiful surroundings of Čutkovská Valley near Ružomberok, there is the charming Jelení vodopád (Deer Waterfall), which is one of its biggest attractions. Thanks to its height of 24 meters, it is the second highest formation of its kind in the Greater Fatra National Park.
The waterfall is located on the Jelení potok (Deer Creek). The waterfall is cascading and two-storeyed. It is most beautiful in spring, when it is the most massive and at the same time, when the surrounding nature awakens to beauty and is covered with a saturated green color.
There is an information board next to the waterfall, which will tell you more about this jewel. The section in front of the waterfall is equipped with 84 steps due to more difficult terrain. In winter, part of the path to the gorge and the waterfall is closed.
Deer Eaterfall is also the seventh stop of the Educational Trail of Known - Unknown Čutkovská Valley, whose beginning of the route is at the asphalt parking in Čutkovská Valley.
