The charming 18th-century Baroque mansion in Svidník houses the Dezider Milly Gallery, which is part of the Museum of Ukrainian Culture in Svidník. The gallery was opened to the public for the first time in 1983. It represents the development of folk and professional fine art of Ruthenian-Ukrainians in Slovakia from the 16th century to the present.
Visitors have the opportunity to see a unique exhibition consisting of exhibits chronologically presenting the development of iconographic art of the 16th - 18th centuries. A rare set of icons are among the oldest and most valuable collection items of the Museum of Ukrainian Culture.
The heart of the gallery is the work of the national artist Dezider Milly, a member of the Generation 1909, who entered the history of modern fine art in Slovakia as one of its founders. The gallery regularly hosts short-term thematic exhibitions and events, such as creative workshops for children and schoolchildren.
