Description
Pálenica is a hill situated in the north of Volovské Hills, west of the town of Nálepkovo.
The hill is also popularly known as "dispersed rock". This designation is derived from the unforested peak, which is a massive mass of large scattered stones.
The slopes of Pálenica Hill are wooded with a fir-spruce forest whose trees prevent the visitor from enjoying the unforgettable view of the surroundings. Thus, the peak offers limited views of the High Tatras, Kráľová hoľa, Slovak Paradise and Volovské Hills.
The route to Pálenica Hill leads from Nálepkovo (approx. 5 km). It is necessary to go through the center of the village near the cemetery and then to the meadow. From there, there is then the route marked with a blue sign.
