Description
An interesting excursion point near Banska Bystrica is Panský diel Hill, which offers much more than just beautiful views. Directly below it is one of the most interesting freely accessible caves - Bat Cave.
Bat Cave offers mysterious corners and corridors of 57 meters in length. You can enjoy larger and smaller halls with little karst decoration. The final part of the main corridor. However, the Gallery, which is made up of steep gradients, is not accessible to the public due to the risk of falling and injuring.
In addition to the Bat Cave, the Chapel Cave will welcome you first. Together they form a complex of so-called Sásovské Caves.
The caves can be reached by turning from the blue-marked hiking trail from Sásová Valley to Špania Valley. The cave is about 3.5 km away from Sásová. The trail is relatively easy and suitable for all ages.
