North of the picturesque village of Dobšiná, there is a small, relatively deforested hill that is called Dobšinský Hill. This borders the southern part of the Slovak Paradise and offers undemanding tourism in every season.
Dobšinský kopec rises to a height of 974 m above sea level and offers beautiful and far circular views of a large part of the Slovak Ore Mountains, the Slovak Paradise, as well as the Palcmanská Maša Water Reservoir. Dobšinský Hill is ideal for hiking in the forest. It is possible to get here along a short educational trail from Dobšinská Maša (part of the village of Dedinky), but also along the hiking trails from Dobšiná or Mlynkov.
Dobšinský Hill is a not only about hiking, it is well-known for car races as well. Through the saddle deepening of the Dobšinský Hill, the first-class road leads from Rožňava and Stratená to the Hnilec Valley, and it is here that the above-mentioned automobile racing takes place every year.
