If you want to take a small trip, which will be enjoyed not only by adults but also by children, choose to discover the fairytale mystery of the largest Slovak cave, Domica. The rich decoration of the Domica Cave also attracted filmmakers. That is why in 1982 they filmed the famous fairy-tale here: "Salt over Gold".
However, underground exploration has revealed not only magnificent stalagmites and stalactites, but also rare archaeological findings from the era of 5 to 6 thousand years BC, which document the settlement of prehistoric man.
Domica Cave is open seasonally from early February to December. The cave is accessible by car. The parking lot is located in the immediate vicinity of the entrance area.
