The picturesque village of Oravské Veselé is surrounded by several mountains and hills, but only one of them can boast of an interesting and symbolic attraction. The hill called Grapa, which rises above this Orava village, is decorated with a 12 m high wooden double cross.
This double cross refers to our Christian traditions, but it also represents a symbol of Slovak statehood. The hill itself is not too high, reaching a height of** 876 m above sea level**.
Also, due to the fact that there is an easy route from Oravská Veselá, which is about 600 m long, the top can be reached even by families with children or older people.
The view from here is incredibly beautiful. You can enjoy truly enchanting views of the wide Orava landscape in any season.
