Description
Not far from the little town of Veľký Meder, in a beautiful natural environment, you can find a crystal-clear water surface of Dredged area in Veľky Meder. It is also called Gravel Pit or Okoč Lake. The gravel pit is attractive especially in the summer months, when the locals use it for pleasant cooling, bathing or lazing.
In addition to swimming, there are other water sports such as surfing and kayaking available. There are no facilities serving to holidaymakers, so you can enjoy the perfect and quiet atmosphere in the lap of nature.
The Dredged area is also a popular fishing locality. You can get directly to the gravel pit by car, but you can also use the new cycle route Veľký Meder - gravel pit - Okoč.
