The medieval eastern bastion in Sabinov, which was part of the town fortifications for several centuries, became the seat of the City Museum in 2012. As part of its activities, the museum cooperates with the Regional Museum in Prešov.
There are four floors in the bastion, each of which is dedicated to a different area. On the first floor are exhibited photographs of architectural monuments Sabinov. On the second floor, visitors can see what a townhouse from the beginning of the 19th century looked like. The third floor presents the costumes and furnishings of the village room of the central Šariš. The top floor became an exhibition hall of paintings by local artists.
The Town Museum is open to the public on weekdays. The tour can be arranged by telephone.
