The ground plan of the church has the shape of a cross and the magnificent exterior architecture will enchant every passer-by. The hall space is full of grace, spirituality and artistically valuable works. The entrance to the church opens a magnificent view of the main pillared altar with a beautiful altarpiece of Christ praying on the Mount of Olives by Danish painter Johann Jakob Stunder. The Evangelical Church in Spišská Nová Ves can be proud of the oldest surviving library in Spiš, located on the choir. Rare old ties and the smell of ancient times create an unrepeatable atmosphere. In the interior of the church you can also admire the restored original sculptures of four evangelists - St. John, St. Luke, St. Mark and St. Matthew.
The Evangelical Church is also known for its excellent acoustics and is therefore often the center of concerts and festivals of classical and organ music.
