Even in today's modern and technically advanced time, you may find yourself in a time when mowing was done manually, when fields were cultivated by pulling power of cattle and when time has run a little slower.
This place is called Gazdovský dvor (Farm House). It is a permanent exposition of a typical scattered settlement from the end of the 19th century with tools and things of daily use the inhabitants once needed to live.
The complex is located in the picturesque locality of Turá Lúka, near the Evangelical Church. All exhibits of the Farm House are originals that have passed from the hands of former residents. In the yard, there are not only farm animals, but also working tools, such as a carriage, sledge, grain cleaning machine, gates, hogging machine or threshing machine.
In addition to the normal daily routine, you can take part in optional excursions with social events such as weddings, pig-slaughtering, fun at the barn, gallows, harvest festival, or try cooking of the traditional plum marmalade, plum balls, or you can dress yourself in the traditional Myjava costume.
The Farm House is an excellent way to spend your free time. Visitors of all ages and from all corners of the near and far world are welcome.
