The most spectacular views in the Volovské Hills are offered by the monumental Folkmarská Rock. It is a really distinctive limestone formation, which dominates the northeastern edge of the Volovské Hills.
The Folkmarská Rock is unmistakable, it rises directly above the village of Kojšov and adjoins the nearby popular Kojšovská hoľa (grassy uplands). The western slope of the rock is extremely steep and rocky. The top of the rock has a terraced shape and a mixed forest and cleansing area.
From Folkmarská Rock, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the village of Kojšov, grassy slopes with sheep grazing, as well as the distinctive landmarks of the wide surroundings, such as Kráľova hoľa, High Tatras, part of the ridge of the Volovské Hills and Kojšovská hola.
A marked hiking trail leads from the village of Kojšov (approx. 3 km away) to the Folkmarská Rock, but it is quite steep and demanding. Another access road leads from the Folkmarské Saddle (about 6 km away) and it can also be taken with children. A good alternative can also be a locality of Ružín. The sidewalks are lined with information boards dedicated to the history and nature of the area.
