If you are in the High Tatras and looking for one of those lower and easily accessible hills, ascent to Front Solisko is perfect for you. Front Solisko is located on the southern edge of the mountain, where virgin nature and beautiful views will welcome you.
The ascent to Front Solisko is also suitable for families with larger children. In addition, on the slope there is a Chata pod Soliskom (Cottage below Solisko), where you can relax and refresh yourself. From there, the Front Solisko is at a stone's throw.
Rocky peak offers charming views of the Furkotská Valley, Mlynická Valley and Štrbské Pleso. A ski lift was built on the southeast slopes in 1943 - the first one in the High Tatras and the second one in entire Slovakia. Today, thanks to the excellent terrain, there is a great downhill track from the Cottage below Solisko to the ski area at Štrbské Pleso.
The main exit route to Front Solisko begins at Štrbské Pleso. It leads along the blue trail below the cable car to the Cottage under Solisko and further up the green trail to the top. The ascent takes about 3 hours. Those ones who would not want to walk uphill can use the 4-seat cable car Solisko Express from the valley station of Štrbské Pleso.
