Gombasecká Cave is one of the most important caves of the Slovak Karst National Park. It is also very often associated with fairy tales. The nature has provided the stalactic with various bizarre shapes and forms, which are further accentuated by varied color and freshness, as their creation continues. The most beautiful spaces include the Marble Hall with 8 m deep well, Hall of Peace (Hall of L. Herényi), Hall of Wisdom (Hall of Viliam Rozložník), Brko's Hall and more.
The cave has extremely favorable microclimatic conditions: a constant temperature of about 9 ° C, a relative humidity of 98%, clean air and a favourable aerosol composition for human. These factors are important in the treatment of some upper respiratory diseases. The results of experimental treatment in the Marble Hall at a depth of 80 m were successful.
