The architectural and historical pride of Tvrdošín, as well as the oldest building of the town, is the wooden church of All Saints from the mid-15th century. It is situated at the local cemetery.
The Wooden Church of All Saints is included in the UNESCO list and was awarded by the Europa Nostra organization in 1994.
In the interior of the church, you will definitely be captivated by beautiful figural and ornamental paintings or coffered ceiling. Equally interesting is the Baroque altar from the late 17th century with the image of All Saints. Its predecessor was once a low Gothic altar, from which a wing with the painting of St. Peter and St. John the Baptist has preserved.
It is open to the public in opening hours during the summer season. Out of season, it is necessary to book the tour at least 1 day before the visit.
