If you want to enjoy the summer days by the water with a perfect view of the High Tatras, Batizovce gravel pits are exactly what you are looking for. These gravel pits are designed especially for fishermen, but during the summer they become a natural swimming pool, although swimming there is not officially allowed.

Lakes are quite abundantly visited not only by locals but also by tourists from all over Slovakia. The water is pleasantly refreshing and clean. Visitors mostly use it for swimming and bathing. The gravel shores are grassy with lower shrub cover.

Apart from the beautiful nature, there are no catering or other facilities on the banks to provide services to holidaymakers. You can get to the gravel pits by car, but we recommend to park the car at some distance and come here on foot.
