The Hámor educational trail is a great opportunity for those who want to learn more about the history of the Zemplín Hámre region. On this 6.8 kilometer route you will be able to admire restored monuments and historically important places connected with former industrial activity at the foot of the Vihorlatské vrchy - mining and processing of iron ore, charcoal production, wood transport.
acquaints visitors with the events related to the establishment of the settlement Josefsthal, presents the way of living in the past, interesting architectural elements of stone masonry houses that have not been preserved elsewhere in the Zemplin region, the ingenious system of water channels built for hammers and much more.
The Hámor educational trail starts at the Tourist Information Center Zemplínské Hámra. It has 14 stops, length 6.8 km. It intersects with cycle route no. 5884 (green sign) Following the Snina narrow gauge railway and pedestrian route no. 5712 (green sign) Snina – Zemplínske Hámre – Rovienky – Sninský kamen. It is self-service and until stop no. 13 can also be completed by bicycle.
