Horná Studená Voda (literally Upper Cold Water) is a water reservoir located in the village of Borský Svätý Jur. Local people call it also Tomky The reservoir was artificially built in 1963 and together with the reservoir Dolná Studená Voda (Lower Cold Water) served as water reservoirs for irrigation of agricultural land.
Today, the water reservoir is used mainly for intensive fish breeding and in summer for recreational purposes. The reservoir is surrounded by pine forests and beautiful, landscaped beaches. The water in the reservoir is clear and refreshing.
In the immediate vicinity of the water reservoir, there is a seasonal car-camp. There are several buffets and restaurants in and around the area. Around the reservoir, there is also a cycling route of international character, as it leads to the Czech Republic and Austria.
