Directly below the romantic ruins of Uhrovec Castle in Strážovské Hills, there is a mysterious portal leading to the so-called Hradná Cave (Castle Cave). The cave was created by nature and was opened to the public in 2009.
The castle cave is really small and has a length of about 11 meters. There is no chapel decoration, but it is certainly a pleasant spot during a trip to the ruins of Uhrovec Castle. A visit to the Castle Cave definitely pleases especially children.
A 1.5 km long green marked trail from Uhrovské Podhradie leads to the Castle Cave. From there, however, it is necessary to turn down the hill, following the pathway.
