Hradová Lookout Tower is located on the top of the hill with the same name and offers a beautiful view of the city of Košice, Košice Basin, Hornád Valley and the surrounding mountains. Thanks to the proximity to the city center, it is easily accessible. You can access it by a footpath for pedestrians from the parking lot of the state road Košice - Kavečany. It is an easy, unpretentious walk, about 20 minutes long.
The lookout tower is 21.51 meters high and has a steel construction that is complemented by wood. The tower has three lookout terraces at a height of 10.88 m, 13.6 m and 16.32 m. There are also embossed maps with marked highest peaks in the surroundings and binoculars.
The tower was built in 1987 on the site of an old wooden lookout tower from 1909 called Rákoci Lookout Tower. Surroundings of the tower offers excellent opportunities for roasting or hiking.
