In the heart of the natural scenery, surrounded by the greenery of a leafy forest near Trenčianske Teplice, there is a place known as Jánošík cave. This cave fissure is smaller in size, with a depth of only 10.5 meters, but it is nevertheless shrouded in legends and stories of bandits who once used it as a hideout. In later periods, the cave was even used for religious ceremonies and became part of folk culture.
Visitors who decide on a hike to the Jánošík Cave can look forward to an easy and pleasant walk. The cave is one of the stops on the Klepáč educational trail, which starts directly in the spa park of Trenčianske Teplice. The trail leads through the forest environment and is easy enough for families with children to handle. The journey to the cave takes approximately 40 minutes and is 1.5 km long.
After visiting the Jánošík cave, tourists can continue along the educational path, which will lead them to a meadow near the local ski lift. From there, there is a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.
