The spectacular volcanic mountain range of Vtáčnik offers a varied tangle of hiking trails that will take you to the most amazing forest coves, observation points and rock formations. All this in one is combine at Jarabá Rock located in the central part of the mountains, above the village of Podhradie.

The hill is covered by a mixed forest and passes the border of the Protected Landscape Area of Ponitrie. The top parts are formed by interesting rock formations. On the top of Jarabá Rocks there is also a gap filter.

The hike to Jarabá Rock is not very difficult, but it is necessary to count with a steeper climb especially in the top parts. Jarabá Rock is a part of the red marked ridge along Vtáčnik Hill. You can also get there along the yellow tourist sign from the picturesque village of Podhradie (approximately 4.5 km).

If you still have enough energy and taste, you can join Ponitrianska railway trail below the Jarabá Rock or from the rocky summit of Jarabá rock, you can alternately descend and climb on the ridge of Predný Kľak to pass to the Tri chotáre cottage.
