Klenovský Vepor, the most prominent peak of the Veporské Hills, is a traditional destination for rocky tourists as well as occasional hikers or mountain bikers. Although its peak is heavily forested and does not offer stunning views, hiking in this environment has its own unique charm.
Wandering through this charming country, where the deep primaeval forests alternate with vast mountain meadows and pasture land, is one of the most beautiful things that Klenovský Vepor and its surroundings can offer. The unique scenery dominated by deep forests is full of interesting and rare flora and fauna. The top part is also a national nature reserve.
Various rock formations will surely impress you on the edges of the top plateau. There are several marked trails leading to Klenovský Vepor. The starting points of the tour can be Klenovec - Skorušiná (about 7 km), Pohronská Polhora (about 7 km) or Sihla, but also the town of Tisovec or the Zbojská Saddle.
