Koch's Garden is located in Bratislava's Old Town over Palisády. It was created in the thirties of the 20th century as part of the sanatorium MUDr. Karol Koch and today it is a protected area. The garden is impressive with its exotic vegetation, colorful planting plan and architecture. In the area you will also find a swimming pool for patients who were treated in the sanatorium.
In addition, the garden contains a number of elements of small garden architecture, such as benches, steps, elevated places and sculptures. You walk along a maze of walkways that lead to nooks and crannies and elegant terraces that together form an impressive and charming space. Thanks to the peaceful atmosphere, the garden has also become a favorite place for birds, which have found their nests in the treetops.
The garden is located on hilly terrain on the castle hills below Slavín. The entrance to the garden is from the upper part, from Bartoňová Street. It is open and accessible to the public from Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m and during weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
