Description

Kôprovský Peak (i.e. Dill Peak) is a distinctive Tatra peak located in the saddlebow of Kriváň. It is very popular among the visitors of the Tatras. After all, who would be able to resist its impressive rocky summit that opens up a charming view of all sides. In addition, this peak is well accessible.

The climb to Kôprovský Peak is strenuous but technically unpretentious. In addition, the route passes through the fabulously beautiful Kôprová Valley, as well as the Mengusovska Valley with the largest mountain lake in Slovakia - Hincovo Lake. On the way to Kôprovský Peak, you can also stop at Kmeťov Waterfalls and refresh yourself a bit.

You can admire the beauty of nature, endless rows of peaks from the top. And when you look down at these heights, you will see a profound, but immensely beautiful, gorge that is decorated with two Temnosmrečianske Mountain Lakes.

The starting point of the trip to Kôprovský Peak can be Štrbské Pleso (about 10 km) or the tourist crossroads Tri studničky, not far from Podbanské.
