The picturesque village of Dolná Súča is surrounded by idyllic arms of majestic hills. One of them is the limestone hill of Krasín, which majestically stands over the village. In addition to being a place rich in natural beauty, it is also an area rich in historical events.
The remains of a medieval castle dating back to the 13th century can be found on the Krasín hill. Súča Castle was built as a border guard fortress. At present, you can see here the exposed part of the wall, as well as the former access road and ditch.
The Kasín hill and its surroundings are dotted with interesting rocks from where you will have an impressive view of Trenčín with the dominating Trenčín Castle as well as the wider surroundings . The location is easily accessible and is an ideal destination for all who enjoy a short and undemanding hike. You can also reach the castle hill along the hiking trail that starts and ends in Dolná Súča.
