Description
The beauty of the Kremnica Hills has stolen the hearts of many nature lovers or tourism enthusiasts. This volcanic mountain range offers** a rich tangle of hiking trails** that will take you to beautiful vistas, massive rocks, as well as to the most secret corners, such as the Kremnica Peak.
According to the name you will probably expect the mohican from the Tatras, and therefore you may be a little surprised that this is, at first glance, perhaps an uninteresting and unimpressive hill rising above Kremnica. There is almost no view of the peak itself, because it is overgrown, but still offers a very pleasant walk suitable even for the little ones.
The road to the top leads through the meadows and forest stands. If you want to enjoy beautiful views, you will find the attractive lookout of Kremnica Štós close by. It is a rock from which you can see a town of Kremnica and the surrounding meadow-forest landscape lie open.
Kremnica Peak is also a popular location for cyclists. There are several interesting cycling routes around. Walking tourists will appreciate that the route to Kremnica Peak is part of the educational trail that starts at the railway station (about 3 km).
