Located in the heart of the small village of Lišov in the Krupina district, Lišov Museum is a place where world cultures, Slovak traditions, and Celtic heritage meet. This hidden gem offers a unique experience for both children and adults.

Your journey begins in the Lišov cottage from 1916, where the atmosphere of traditional Slovak countryside life enchants you, complemented by embroidery and original furniture. An unforgettable stop is the Celtic dwelling, built without a single nail, transporting you back in time. For history enthusiasts, there are also the stone dwellings in the rocks—unique hideouts that once served as protection against the Turks.

Art and culture lovers will appreciate the Mask Gallery, featuring 400 masks from around the world. Each mask tells its own story, bringing vibrant colors and new perspectives on cultural diversity to the museum.

A small café in a stone house from 1887 invites you to relax with a cup of coffee or homemade cake, baked from fresh eggs from the museum’s own hens. The atmosphere is complemented by a weaving room and mini-ethnographic museum, where you can explore traditional crafts and purchase local handmade products from the shop.
