Lomnické sedlo is a wide grassy moutain saddle between the Lomnický peak and Lomnický ridge. The saddle is especially popular with tourists and skiers. In summer you will be enchanted by the wonderful views towards Tatranská Lomnica and Popradská basin. In winter a ski slope starts at Lomnické sedlo, by which you can ski down to Skalnate pleso.
Although there is no marked hiking trail leading to Lomnické sedlo, it can be easily reached by chairlift, so a trip to here is also suitable for children or pensioners. On the way you can also stop at Skalnate pleso, which we highly recommend. Although access is really easy, don't forget, due to the alpine environment, to dress properly.
The trip to Lomnické sedlo starts in Tatranská Lomnica, from where you need to get to Skalnaté pleso. You can either go on foot (approx. 2:40 h) or take the cable car. From Skalnate pleso, a chairlift then runs to the saddle itself.
