The rural environment of the Turiec region around the villages of Turčianske Jaseno, Belá - Dulice and Kalník literally attracts hiking, weekend walks and cycling tours. And it is this location that has become an ideal place to build a lookout tower.

If you go to the village of Turčianske Jaseno, you will see that on the hill above the village there is a simple wooden tourist lookout tower, also called "na Tŕní" (on Thorns). It stands, as well as its sisters, on the Turiec main cycle path.

The tourist lookout tower is an ideal place to relax for all ages. Although the lookout tower does not reach the heights, the view from it is beautiful. Almost whole part of the Turiec Basin surrounded by hills of Little and Greater Fatra appears in full beauty before your very eyes.

Surroundings of the lookout tower are nicely arranged. There are also wooden benches and a table where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. An adjacent map will give you more information about the local hiking trails.
