The picturesque village of Lenartov near the Slovak-Polish border is known for its rich history. At the end of the 19th century, a trade route from Poland to Galicia led through it. Nowadays, there are only memories left in the form of a well (spring) and the ruins of the Kráľova studňa inn (King's Well inn).
In this locality, the Kráľova studňa Civic Association from Lenartov built a tourist lookout tower, which is visited by many tourists every year. The tower has 4 floors, the highest of which is covered with a roof.
In nice weather, you can really see far away. You may observe not only the entire Čergovský ridge, the peaks of Busov and Magura hills, or the scattered surrounding villages, but even the Polish Javorina Mountain.
At the lookout tower, there are tables and benches with a fireplace, where you can relax, roast or just enjoy peace and beautiful nature.
The easiest way to reach the lookout tower is from the municipalities of Lenartov and Obručné, along marked hiking trails. The lookout tower is not demanding and is ideal for families with children. The ascent takes about 1 h 15 min to 1 h 30 min.
