
In Bystrická Valley, there is a small village of Stara Bystrica, which impresses not only with its picturesque scenery, but also with a fairytale lookout tower.
Lookout tower stands on the Bobovec Hill at an altitude of 723 meters. It offers a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. Thus, you can observe not only the nearby hills and mountains, but in good weather, you can also see Lysa Hora in the Czech Republic*. The lookout tower was built from eurofunds within the Slovak-Polish cooperation.
Every visitor to the lookout tower is certainly also interested in its architecture. It is built of traditional materials like stone and wood. Its height is 17 meters. In the lower, stone part, there are also several works of art on the subject of angels. This topic is also reflected in the functional elements of the window bars.
There is a 3 km long yellow hiking trail leading from the Slovak Astronomical Clock in Stara Bystrica. You can get here on foot, but you can also take a bike ride. From the observation tower, you can also observe the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. In the evening, the lookout tower is lit. **
