Observation towers attract many tourists every year. Several of them are located also in the Banská Bystrica Region, and new ones are continuously being built every year there. One of them is the lookout tower on Jasenina Hill at 995 m above sea level.
The location is already a major tourist destination in itself, and the tower is the so-called cherry on the cake. It rises to a height of 10 meters, giving you a beautiful semi-circular south facing view.
From the observation platform, you can observe the South Slovak Basin and in good weather even the distant Hungarian mountains will not lurk the bright eye.
By the observation tower. there is also a wooden bench and a large table where you can refresh yourself, gain new strenght or just contemplate.
The easiest way to get to the Jasenina lookout tower is to follow the red marked hiking trail from the nearby village of Ďubákovo (about 2 km long).
