Description
Nearby the small villages of Malé and Veľké Borové, more precisely on the hill of Súšava, there is a wooden tourist lookout tower that will show you the beauty of Liptov from a height.
The lookout tower was built in 2013 and is 16.5 meters high. It is one of the three lookout towers in the Skorušinské Hills that are located in this mountain range. From its top, there are beautiful views of the distinctive mountain villages and the surrounding mountains - Western Tatras, Choč Mountains and Little Fatra.
A local educational path connecting the villages of Malé and Veľké Borové leads to the observation tower. The route is also manageable for smaller children due to its length and elevation. You can reach the lookout in about half an hour's walk. However, if you are a skilled tourist and you already know the location, you can also go via unmarked trails from Chlebnice.
