The beautiful Skorušinské Hills are located north of the Western Tatras. Their highest peak is Skorušina.
The ridge of Skorušina mountains is divided by deep valleys and is 25 kilometers long. The marked hiking trails lead to the very top and the ascent is possible from three directions.
It is an undemanding hike, ideal for families with children. The starting point of the tour is Vitanová (part of Oravice), Trstená or Brezovica. The ascent takes approximately 2 hours.
On the top of the 13-meter-high steel lookout tower, you will enjoy a wonderful view of the surroundings. Towards the south, you can see the central ridge of Roháč stretching before your very eyes, and Veľký Choč Hill can be observed in the south-west direction.
The west side offers a view of Veľký Rozsutec Hill, in the north you can see Orava Magura Mountain Range, Orava dam, Orava Beskydy and Babia hora Hill, and in the east you can observe a large Orava basin.
Below the lookout there is a nicely landscaped place with a fireplace, wooden benches, a table as well as a tourist shelter, where you can relax and gain new strength.
