On the edge of the Žitavský luh nature reserve, right next to the road between the villages of Veľká Maňa and Žitavce, there is a wooden lookout tower Žitavský luh. It is used mainly for bird watching in the nature reserve - more than 100 species live here - but visitors are also enchanted by the view of the preserved meadows and wetlands in the valley of the river Žitava.
You can learn interesting facts about the rare species of birds and other animals in the Žitava meadow from the information board.
More active visitors can walk along the approximately 3.5 km long nature trail, which leads around the nature reserve.
The lookout tower is open all year round.
